>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philadelphia_Naval_Shipyard >http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York_Shipbuilding_Corporation I think Philadelphia should be able to make ships as Camden and Philly (Juxtaposed to each other) used to have very large drydocks and now have a large port. And I think philly should be an (8) city because of its large sphere of influence in the area. Its basically the rival city to NY.

>In use | 1801-1995 >The yard built its last new ship, the command ship Blue Ridge, in 1970. Sorry, but no. Afterwind tries to reflect the current (2012) situation in the world. And furthermore, I think only someone who lives in Philadelphia or a historian knows of the existence of this port. I wouldn't think many recognise the "large sphere of influence" this city has if they haven't been in the area. By the way, no cities inland can have ports, as we do not have support for rivers yet.

Acttually the Philly ship yard is still in commercial use in '95 and most of southern new jersey and delaware and SE Pennsylvania is Considered Philly Metro area. In fact, the NY metro areas population is 22 million instead of the after wind 18 million AND the Philly metro areas Population of 6 million. Also, DC is further from ocean then philly is so the river issue should not be a problem. ALSO the Navy no longer operate out of philledelphia or new york nor do either cities have active military ship building contracts. The closest naval ports are in DC or central jersey. Therefore both citys SHOULD have the ability to produce ships, as the both no longer house military ships, aand DO have active drydocks in the commercial use.

16.04.2012 - 16:18 Edit: Neither is Washington really... I think it should be a port city, then, and I do think that it should get extra population on the map, given that it has a sprawling urban area
