So let's say we have two units: Unit A, and Unit B: Unit A had 6 attack, 4 defense, and 10 HP Unit B has 4 attack, 6 defense, and 10 HP Unit A decides to attack Unit B How does the battle play out? How does Unit A "attack" go through? WIll it auto attack every time or can it "miss". Furthermore, if unit A lands a hit on unit B, the attack will be 6, so is this number deducted from the HP? If so, this would mean unit B would have to be hit twice before dying correct? As for Unit B with it's defense of 6,the same mechanics would be in play correct? Lastly, how does critical chance work?

That's a lot of questions, and most of the answers lie in battle mechanics threads. However I'll summerise this scenario here: The attack and defence values are the MAXIMUM values of attack and defence the unit can deliver, with a value randomly chosen between 1 and the maximum. So Unit A can choose an attack value from 1-6. When the battle happens the attacking unit will deal the randomly chosen attack value to the defender's hp, and the defender will deal it's randomly chosen defence value to the hp of the attacking unit. The attack and defence damage are executed simultaneously, and this continues until one unit has died. We call it a roll each time the attack and defence damage is executed. Critical chance is the chance that the unit will deal a critical hit, so e.g. a critical chance of 5 means 5% chance to deal a critical hit. A critical hit is where a unit adds it's maximum attack/defence to a roll. E.g. Unit A has a critical hit: It rolls 3 attack, then adds it's max attack to the roll, in this case 6 attack. Therefore the combined total strength of the attack for this roll is 3+6=9

Assuming no critical / rolls, the battle would go like this: Unit A-------- Unit B. Both deal 6 damages. 1. 4 HP left -------- 4 HP left. 2. 0 HP left -------- 4 HP left. Defender win. This is because the attacker receives damage first.
