If Crimea joins Russia, will you guys change the city in that area to Russia South, or will it stay as part Ukraine (in the game)?

Yes, game playability doesn't matter.
Only slavish immediate reflection of the contemporary world should matter.
Therefore give Crimea to Russia South, and give Russia Volga, NW to Russia Central.
Then give them all to China.

How is this idea or suggestion? ...and no, only Russia recognises Crimea's referendum.

Everyone so, Crimea this Crimea that ...more then half the world recognised Palestine and Kosovo and they are not in the game.

Enough about this Crimea shit already.
Aghanistan recognizes Crimea referedum. And the some of the people who didn't recognize it were the ones who recognized Kosovo.

Yea and Belarus "last european dictator" said Putin taking crimea is a big mistake and a dangerous precedent ...words coming from someone who was considered a dictator.

btw. if you all really think this is about protecting russians in crimea or anywhere in ukraine ...have to say you are all too naive.

But the Ukraine is in chaos. A train today was robbed. A nationalist leader was killed. Jews are leaving Ukraine because of neo-nazis there.

In your opinion, what was, actually what is the cause of nationalistic radical movements rising in a certain country?
That may be part of the reason. I don't think you had this before when (although bad) the pro-Russian government was in power.

I think the change should be made. Yet, we should wait. Crimea has not officially belonged to Russia. It has not been globally recognized as a part of Russian Federation. Its sovergnity is controversial. AW should not be biased towards one politcal side. Otherwise, it may lose players who are opposed to it.

Even before Crimea was seized by Russia, Russia used Sevastopol as a naval base (part of their agreement with Ukraine at independence) and the game did not reflect this either, for obvious reasons - if Russia wanted a Black Sea port, it would need to take one. Geopolitical reality took a backseat to game playability (and national motivation, too).

Evidence of 'ownership' is pointless, anyway.

Moscow contains Russia Central.
Russia Central, therefore, 'owns' all of the Russias. This isn't reflected in the game.

The Chinas, Canadas and United Stateses are also broken apart - does anyone scream about this?

The unutterable military supremacy (in terms of power projection) of the United States isn't reflected by the game.
Europe or Asia, united is a match for the United States, in the game.
The economic might of Japan is waaay nerfed compared to geopolitical reality.
===
If we are all so concerned about the game reflecting geopolitical reality there are certainly much larger gaps between the game-as-it-exists and the world-as-it-exists than whether Sevastopol is assigned to Crimea/Russia or Ukraine.

Consider lobbying Google Maps: Crimea is still joined with Ukraine there, too.

Spain is one of the countries that is least-likely to recognize european subnational independence movements, for obvious reasons.

The change needs to be made, the russians will never move out so it is theirs and according to them it is so it should be changed.

Applying everyone's logic above (to separate cases) the following changes should be made:

1. If Crimea is its own separate country due to Russia's political subdivision, Russia should be divided further into at least its 22 Republics. Canada and United States should be likewise separated into Provinces and States, and Brazil into its 27 states/federal districts.

2. If Crimea should be part of Southern Russia, Taiwan should be part of S. China, and all of the Canadas, Russias, Chinas and Brazils should be merged.

3. If game playability is the foremost concern of everyone, we should leave everything be.

The way I see it: The parties involved (Ukraine, Crimea, Russia, NATO, and EU) have a varying degree of recognition of Crimea, as well as the UN obviously not recognizing it yet. Until a majority recognizes it's sovereignty as a Republic of the Russian Federation (Or whatever it decides to be), there should be absolutely no changes to the world map. For now, just make an alt. version of the world map with Crimea on it, until this situation has been settled and a majority decision can be made. (I know, Crimeans want to be Ukrainian, but there are still diplomatic processes that must be done before something like this can be safely made by the Admins without receiving death threats, like they did from Kosovo).

Crimeans want to be Russian, 97% voted for.

Yes, just like Donetsk wants to be Russian by taking Hostages. I don't trust the 97% of people could ever agree on something, and if the 73% of them who actually voted did honestly vote for Russian accession, they're literally fucking retarded.

Its alright, we dont expect nothing else than insults coming from the west.

Also Donetsk doesnt take hostages, russians take over local government buildings and protest on the streets, nothing else. But we know you will publish on CNN and BBC how russians rape and kill ukrainian babies and women, nothing new.

Map should be updated as soon as Ukrainian Revolution ends. I think till summer it will all end and therefore atWar map can be updated with new cities and regions. July 4th would be perfect update time

Legend:

Red Circles - independent city
Red Line - line where Ukrainian State control ends de facto(independent cities and regions does not pay taxes, social security, welfare, debts, nor do respond to Ukrainian state and governemnt)

Tito, enough saying that the map must be changed. They're not going to change it, even having been in and around Russia most of their lives, until the world recognizes the new states and borders openly. That's how they decide on countries. You cannot make any case to sway their opinion whatsoever, all you can do is hope that your opinions and desires will come to fruition, my friend.
