Duel farmers

There is a certain player who duels on an unfair map called "India vs Pakistan(also has china)" I am willing to look past the clear advantage Pakistan has but the guy will not duel me, I join his game and he leaves and rehosts. I don't know rules of duels but this does not seem fair

He does the same thing with me. He used to ban me so i couldn't join lol.

It's more fair than ds poland vs imp turk, but yes.

The actual point of the map is that india is supposed to rush pakistan while pakistan is supposed to somehow survive and beat india

You know what is the worst part? There's no fucking rule against such bullshit behaviour regarding the competitive framework. It's totally surrealistic

And when you bring up valid points such as these you'll get mods on here defending there actions xD

No, you can make it so that you can't duel rank 4s, rank 5s, and rank 6s because they belong in the beginner room.

Honestly it could be ANY map and as long as these low ranks will keep coming in, the farming never ends.

Dueling should atleast be rank 7/8+ in any other game the ranked matches cannot be done by newcomers. this can also solve the problem with low rank farmers

exacly,lowranks fall prey to these duel scammers..not allowing duels until a certain rank will also solve all those alts that make duels in begginers room

Split main and beginner elo

Ban them from duelling

On a side note, can i propose that a duel can be deleted if both duellers agree. In case of dc

To a point I believe players should have freedom to duel on maps of their choice. Obviously something like this shouldn't be allowed but i agree with Claire and Nic in saying that only once you reach say rank 7/8 should you be allowed to duel. Now this might seem a bit much but if you go to any other game where they have professional/ranked games... beginners usually cannot join them until they reach a certain point.

I agree, we need to find a balance.

On a side note, I notice that the thread that started with a crying message about an unfair map et cetera got more attention than the thread which started with proposed solutions

Actually, no. There are 4 main viable strategies (IF, PD, GW, NC), being IF the most popular. And it wouldn't seem so inbalanced to you if you understood it. I know it's not perfect but not that bad either.

where as a map like LOTR I think is a good map for duels as you can play a variety of strategies on it and income/reinforcements are very well balanced. there are key areas to pick and before one of those bullshit artists come and complain about units, the map has regular units Militia, infantry, cavalry....

So does ancient even GOT could be considered for duels as well

I believe banning lowranks from duels or giving them separate duel ranking is wrong, because that will block player improvement, and you will have deterioration of quality.

In order to keep the competitive scene actually competitive, there should be a limit to when you can participate, just like how it works in any other competitive game, which is why separating the rankings is a good thing.

To be fair, a rank 6 is no match for any of us rank 10... so I would consider them beginners still.

And who's to blame? If a rank 6 or rank 7 joins a 3v3 or a game it gets kicked or a country gets already picked for him, we setup a to-dolist for people based on their ranks. What happened about some selfinput? Let them learn, let them fail, stop the fucking SP farms and making them ranks they arent. Most of the rank 10's are still rank 6's tho.

Well, I personally felt more like a beginner when I was rank 6 than when I was rank 3 due to the collision with high ranks... so idk what to say exactly. I think it is normal for a rank 6 to still be and feel like a beginner, that's why they still learn, fail, experience, get tutored, etc.
