I don't know how I got into it also I don't remember switching lobbies so this was a shocker to me.

Uhm ... you should be able to join Beginners Lobby normally. You just can't join their games or make any games yourself as long as i know.

You can also spectate the games, just not join them.

IE is the worst. It's waaay too slow.

It doesnt matter anyway. I have downloaded it to the computer. Is IE good for watching movies and surfing? If not, what do you recommend?

IE is automatically downloaded on all windows computers.
I suggest chrome for surfing, mainly because it's the fastest browser I've used.

One can mod Mozilla faster than Chrome in less than 3 minutes.
