Further proof that young people are naive and vote with their feels instead of their brains. Tell us something we didn't already know.

I seriously have no idea why AtWar is so right wing. UK leaving the EU is a horrible outcome no matter where you live, look it up UK gains from staying while they lose horribly when they leave. The research centre I work for has an office in London, which they are already considering moving to Frankfurt. Think about that for a moment, whenever I go to give a presentation of attend a conference in Europe, I go to London. Shutting yourself from the market does not attract investors it pushes them away. EDIT: The research centre pays nearly half a million pounds in taxes a year. The UK is literally burning it's foreign investments.

This does not show it well enough here is a better one: The majority of the people who voted leave won't even live long enough to see the consequences of their actions.

You have to remember that the average AW player is someone who feels isolated from society enough to find this game an attractive option to spend their spare time on. As the young people in the UK are the most leftwing here, then logically those that feel rejected from that group are more likely to lean rightwing. As for the rest of the world idk though.

Although I extensively read the offtopic forum I rarely post here because a) science says that arguing over the internet will make people more firmly entrenched in their opinions, and b) I do not wish to be hated by half of the community. However I might post my feelings on all this sometime, not because it will change anything but because it feels wrong, as though by being passive I would be giving my tacit support to their views.

Maybe because there are more important things than market efficiency? Maybe other people care about Liberty, sovereignty, culture, and tradition more than gibmedats.

Conversely its the average brexit voter aged 50 that has 4 gcse's and nostalgic memories of their parents banging on about how they won the war that haven't given this much thought. They blame immigrants for taking their jobs and at the same time claiming their benefits.... They think the UK will stay united after leaving the EU.... They think this wont effect them Shit is going to hit the fan hard before any kind of rebuild can happen

Supporting policies that the right traditionally pushes for, does not necessarily make you right wing. And if you are by definition leaning to the left, it actually makes you a rational, intelligent, capable of critical thinking human being that is able to rise above political parties and ideologies and express an unbiased opinion, based solely on facts and reasoning. For example, i am a leftist, does this mean i have to support the leftists in everything, even if they are full of shit? (Like immigration/refugee crisis) No, im gonna support the right everytime i feel they get it right.
You cant put a price on freedom. It hurts if people of my generation (young-ish) care more about markets, money, corporations and banker shit, than concepts like freedom, individuality, sovereignty and anti-coirruption. EU has become a disgusting and corrupted institution, we v been through this in other posts, thats established. Its practicly a gang of bankers and their lackies creating policy to suit their agenda, fucking the actual citizens of Europe in the ass. Euro is doomed as well. Greece tried to do what Britain did, last year. Had a referendum and people voted to say no to the European rulers, but the PM got strongarmed by Brussels and Germany. It seems Britain is stronger and in a better position to go through with it and face the consequenses (just like we were ready to face them. some economic drawbacks are nothing when your freedom is involved) and actually has the balls to go through with it, so imo we should all encourage and support Britain. Lastly, its easy when you are not living in an EU country, to judge the European people that judge the Eu, because you only see the crust and not the core. You see Eu statistics, gdp, organization and system, but the fact of the matter is that countries are responsible for this and not the union as an entity. Underneath all this, lies a system of kleptocracy and a network of corruption that cannot be dealt with, unless the Union is brought down. Short term is gonna affect all of us, not just the Brits. I wont be able to travel frequently to London just with a handbag and my ID, Eu wont pay for my education in British schools and getting a job there is gonna be harder, but thats a small price to pay, considering that a brexit could actually set forth a chain reaction, where more countries will want to leave and Europe will have to restruct itself or collapse.
