Do we need more mods?

Mostly just curious what peoples' opinions of this are. This has nothing to do with who should be a mod or whether you agree with a mods decisions it's just about whether you think there should be more or not. Also, if you think there should be more mods, post what time zones you think need it the most.

Yes, but only if the community voted on who it was, not to offend the mods or the admins, but quite a few have quite very early off or abused the system. Our current sets of mods is quite excellent in my opinion (Guest14502, Pinheiro, Acquisce, Caulerpa, Sificvoid). For timezones, I would say EST and anything between Russia and Japan, that whole area is quite barren in the moderation zone, but not too many players come from their either. Off-topic, but I think Fruit, Yoba or Aristosseur would be great candidates for mods as long as they swore of trolling, as all three of them are very nice and helpful when not in huehue mode.

EDIT: The community should not vote, because then it would be TopHats or Zizou. Not to offend, but that would be...quite awkward.

Yes we need more mods becasue theres almost 90000 players and less than 15 mods... but most of the mods are very good mods i only know of 1 mod who i think uses his power against us...

Sad part is, whenever they're on they always seem to be afk, excluding Acqu, he's always there when you need him. We need mods that are playing the game every day, and a lot. At least 2 hours.

We have like 3 mods on at any time, and 150 people on at any given time. One PM away and the mods will be their. We dont want afterwind turning into a police site so early in its existance.

See above. What we need to do is to quit speculating about what mods need to be doing and who to make the next mod. Speaking from experience, and all other mods would agree with me, it is impossible to play actively in a game and mod at the same time.

Yeah but thats unique visitors... Usually there are around 150-200 people on.

Thats like say google has 6billion users... which is absurd.

Nope, we need less.

Not really I just think we need more active mods and have not go afk so much. If anything I notice theres about a 2-3 hours of a Mod free time in space a day, and you get to do anything you want still. Ether that or they're hiding.

I've noticed for a few days now that at around 10pm PST no mods are on, I assume it's like this until Hugo or Caulerpa get on much later.

I would agree with having more active mods however it seems there are no real candidates for this.

tbh though we don't need that many mods, the community itself does not act too bad. Without the occasional hdrakon or ifinlandi spamming and rep farming in global when no mods are on pretty much no rules are being broken.

Now we have 2000 daily players that have logged on in the past 24h. I think we should have a proportionate amount of mod to players per time zone.

the problem being that the reason we got 2000 daily players is because AW integrated into a American Site, bringing 2000 Americans to AW whom are all in the same 4 timezones

there just isn't that many asian players on AW to support the asian timezones

Seriously, every video game, forum or other internet doodaddle gets mods it goes downhill. Modless AW was golden days.

That's just my two cents.

agreed...the only thing we need mods for is to stop hdrakon1-tier room spamming (global was amazing when there were inactive mods) and to stop cheating. most of the aw life is in room chat, I feel like we should be able to talk about what we want there

I'm usually on 2:40 PM - 12:00 AM EST, though it's usually in and out, as I do many things while online. But in these hours I am online, and can be contacted or used. Though I don't see why Durr mentioned me, though I would share a tid-bit.

I suggest a mod be made that's on at 12PM PST/5PM EST, this is "peak hour", and no mods are ever on at this time.

It's not about covering timezones, it's about learning the times when Afterwind peaks in population, and having mods who are on at that time. The timezone mod are an okay idea, but I never even knew any Asians even played this game.

I still doubt Sam is from Siamlande, he was on a lot when I was, and got off the same time usually, which would mean he would be playing very late to very early, but I could be wrong.

We need more mods. We also need them more all day.

Okay I think we still need more mods... or at least more mods should be active.
