Who is the best player on Afterwind?

Top players, in my opinion:

Gigglin;
MarcJr;
Learster;
Ironail.

Good players that are making their way to the top:

Aristosseur;
Fruit;
SuperiorCacaocow (Cow is manly);
Hugosch.

Modest players:
Pinheiro.

From a scientific standpoint it is not possible to know who is the best player as too many variables are involved. are pointless.

If you really want to know who is the best, you would have to decide on what you want to measure first off. Who is the best Afterwind player is way to general from a scientific stand point. You would have to ask a question like who is the best PD player, otherwise you are not measuring only 1 thing. Ie player skill would be what you want to measure, so everything else in the test MUST be EXACTLY the Same. Which would be impossible , as you cannot have a mirrored map where both players start with the same country. So what you are really talking about, is who can have the odds most stacked in their favor, choosing a better strat choosing a better country, getting lucky on the rolls, any one of the top players can do these things and no skill is involved with them, only knowledge.

I.E. there is no Best. I have chance of beating any player on any list you make depending on the strat used and countries picked.

p.s I have beaten cow cow 1 vs 1.

1st: Who are you?
2nd: When? So you fought me 1vs1 and beat me? Cool story. That it wasn't a duel makes me feel like you just don't like me and want to seem cool to your idols. Screenshot or it didnt happen.
3nd: Even if you would've beat me, it's not interesting here. People beat me 1vs1 in the past, in the present and will possibly in the future.
Just because i try out new strategies and countries and try to never do the same thing. Furthermore, if both players are good, it always depends on circumstances, picked countries, strategy and finally the question is: Who makes the first mistake. Well and this will change from game to game. But even if you would've really beat me in a fair game, if you would fight me in a duel now: you wouldnt win. that's all, deal with it.

ps: I like the way how you think to be something special because you allegedly beat me. Is it a good feel?

Cow, you misunderstand me, what im saying is no one is the best player, anyone in the top tiers has a chance to beat someone else.

I played 2 games vs ironnail today he wont first I won second, I made mistakes in the first game, he made mistakes in the second (starting location) point is we both had fun, I don't care that i lost or that I won, it was a good challenging game.

Also I was not trying to brag that I beat you, I was just using your name as an example, of a player on his list that I have beaten, mind you, you change your name so much their was probably some confusion and I may have played someone else. either way im up for a game. The point is No one is BEST, and having fun is the important thing.

Despite the fact that I still don't remember to have ever foughten you, I got you in the other points.
Beating a generally accepted top player doesnt make the winner "top" himself in my opinion, though.

Not referred to you: I miss the time when i was able to join a game without 5 spectators writing "cow will win", "cow rox" in the game channel and if i loose sometime, because i made a mistake or simply wanted to try something, people starting to spam global "roro i killed Cacow he's a noob. BANANA PLAYER STRONG" and BLAH BLAH BLAH. I couldn't even play with a guest account because others detected my style of playing. This sucks. It's not about relaxed playing anymore, but like pressure to succeed.

Fruit speaks about SP/week, not about the absolute SP. Which is not really more meaningful, how I described in my post on the last page.

Second is true. But to be accurate it must be a system which is not random based, where you can't choose your opponents and with more than 1 game/opponent per "round". The fights would have to be repeated regulary and unattendance gives minus-points.

Hard to conceive at all, but not impossible. World of Warcrafts arena system is a good example.
Considering the fact Afterwind doesn't have WoWs balance-problems it should be possible to adopt the concept for 1vs1 games.
This and ranked team battles would make Afterwind the undisputed strategy browser game.

Actually, I recall Ivan saying in a thread that it does a form of ELO that is by default on 1000 rather than 1200 points (arbitrary units) which the original system had. Oh, League of Legends does qualify as a game in the strategy genre by the way.

We actually played 1! game ever, where we said we play without initally turn stalling but you did it nevertheless and I left for that reason right when turn 2 started.

After we wrote a few weeks ago i thought you are quite humble so i don't really understand why you write this shit right now.

Dude, i dare anyone to take the Sony Challenge. I beat a rank 8, I won't mention any names, using MoS, they were using PD, in 5k Europe, not easy my friends. Oh and i didn't start as Portugal or anything easy as that, i started Greece he started Poland, but I wont involve that in the challenge. yeah, that's right MoS GREECE lol.
