More Power to Mapmakers

In light of Martell announcing that he is going to take down his RP map, it brings up another important issue, that of how much power a mapmaker should have.
Martell is taking down his map because his ban list is not being respected. The children who played his map would go to moderators because they think that their bans were "unfair" or "unjust" and the moderators would then step in and threaten Martell.
This is a disgusting abuse of moderator's powers. Moderators are here to enforce the AtWar basic rules so that AtWar can be a safe environment and free from spam and trolls. They are not here to regulate mapmakers. Mapmakers are the people who keep this game running, as without their maps, far less people would play AtWar. It is the hard work and creativity of the mapmakers that makes this game special. Moderators stepping in and regulating does not make the game any safer or better, it only causes mapmakers to close down their maps, feel bullied by "big government", and sometimes even flee from the game as the outcome of their hard work is not worth the effort.
Mapmakers should be able to ban people from their maps for whatever reason they want. If the mapmaker is truly abusing his power on banning people, the market will take its course, and the map will not be played as often as there are either too many bans or people do not think highly of the mapmaker. It is not like the maps made are the only ones available, all of them are easily substituted with another map of similar value. If you really think your ban was unjustified, go play another, similar map. The people bitching about being banned from Martell's map can easily go to Tempted's map. If they are banned from both, then my assumption would be that they truly deserved it.
Also, my map is my work and my property. Forcing me to allow people to use my map who I don't want is forcing me to work hard on creating these maps for certain people who I did not voluntarily agree to work for or suffer consequences, which is essentially slavery. You cannot force me to allow people to use my property.
Mapmakers, it's time to stand up for yourselves.

That just doesn't make any sense. Basically you want to create a group of map makers that will take over the 'public appeal system'? I assume this group will justify if bans being made are illegal or not... correct? Assuming that is the case, the map maker would need to provide enough evidence to this group of yours to support the ban he executed on the player. So pretty much, you are in favor of map makers providing evidence to support their bans. If that is true, what is wrong with our current system? Simply provide evidence(for the 50th time) and you should be okay. You need to understand, just because you make a map, it does not mean you don't have to follow atWar rules. You can't go around banning players because you don't like them. That's called discrimination, i'm pretty sure that is against the rules.

the system that mods want to implement is not clear and its too open to interpretation, bias towards map makers etc. If you actually took the time to read my proposal, you would understand how mine is better.
why should I? its my own map.
There is no atwar rule that says that i can't ban you from my maps, in fact: if i didn't wanted you to play you won't play and there is nothing mods could do about it.

Well, I've got avoided by Tunder it seems. All I can assume is that this whole thread was just for complain and nothing else. MapMarkers cannot organize anything. Or I guess is my bad and Tunder acted on his own and not as a representation of the MapMarkers? if so, my points are still there yet they keep being avoided. You guys are not looking for a solution for this. I am out of this discussion. The banlist should definitively be lead up by moderators.

I am not going to make any official reply as i don't represent 100% of the map makers, a proposal was made, the ball is in the mods hands now. there is no points to be addressed, all you did was to ask for a post that summarized everything posted by all map makers, if you are interested on that information you can look it up.

This doesn't hold any credibility at all. We aren't picking a side between different players here, we just want you to take a few seconds to add a screen shot so we can just point right back to that when someone reports/complains. It solves everything.

You've managed to catch yourselves in that one. Just being unprepared. Pulse already proclaimed what would happen when you cannot justify a ban months ago. For now, all you need to do is add screen shots for the future. You see how adding screen shots for the current trouble makers will smooth out the process right? Even if moderators were bias on this subject (which we're not), having proof supports your case and an assumed bias moderator would have nothing. See;
I can see that you're arguing because you have all those names. You have a stake in what is discussed here. Just add screen shots as they come and I think everything will go smoothly from then on.

You do not need to care, smartass, you are not important here, what is important is the 100s of noobs who play maps like RP every day, where will they go when the map is gone? to spam chats to ask what happened, to ask mods, to ask admins, and what will you say? you will say that you failed them. the money stops when there is no incentive to host games when only 3v3 is left

Neither are you. AW existed before custom maps and will keep running without useless maps such as RP, which only incentive newbs to stay clueless about true strategy and gameplay. Those who create good maps and know how to handle the banlist will continue to give them incentives. Why is it so hard to provide a single proof about the ban? We used to have at least one weekly thread complaining about unfair mods action towards other players and they were punished unfairly. Now, you're asking to have full power to abuse a tool that wasn't even intended to exist in the first place and want to have the "right" to give ZERO explanation on your bans. Bullshit. I've read in this same thread that the map makers "own" their property and even that they should get "paid" for it. Now guess what: nobody asked you to create free content to the community. Also, the "property" you so much claim it's yours was only created because of the tools AW has provided to you. Now stop trying to argue as if you had any more rights that any other AW player, because you don't and we are here to remind you that,

lawl If you guys believe you held any high ground in your last 'strike' you're sadly mistaken. Mods saw a reason for the banlist so they implemented it so people could enjoy their games. Now mods see no reason to implement any of your demands and could care less about maps being removed from atwar. People will play more 3v3s and world games and atwar will see peace.

who the fuck said we should get paid? I have no intentions of being compensated, we make these maps because we love to do that, not to please people, which is why we get so much hate on maps because most of the time a ton of people (arrogant 3v3 players) bitch about custom maps, the hard part is that mods have said that we will lose our banlist then bc we do not have proof, so you pass a rule and we are penalized becasue we didnt follow it before it came out. bullshit is on your pathetic asses who demand to be involved in everything, you want to do shit, remove the banlist then, all i see is mods bitching that the banlists are issues (when columna said that it was the mods who got it added so that is hilarious) then remove it, oh wait you do not have that power, the admins do but you are so arrogant and thick headed that you think you are a God on this game, this is a game, you have the power to moderate chats and prevent hacking, not run around playing God and pushing your agendas on everyone because you feel like it.
