What critical damage is?

When you achieve a critical hit, you deal the damage that would've been normally dealt plus the maximum attack/defence of that unit. For example, a tanks deals 6 damage and a critical hit would add 8 (assuming no boosts to tank maximum attack) dealing a total of 14 damage.

What are the odds of this happening? Is this the only thing that arb affects?

The odds are decided by the units "crit." stat. You can find the crit. stats for each unit here: http://atwar-game.com/home/units.php. Each units crit. stat shows the percent chance of a critical hit happening. For example, an unupgraded default inf has a crit. stat of 5 so there is a 5% chance of dealing a critical hit.

Yes, Critical works way different that ARB. I suggest you to read the help buttom and the battle mechanic

Critical damage is just shit lol, but it adds on to the strange roll system and just makes everything complicated, detailed explanation would take hours so this short response by Riddler is good enough lol
