Promoting AtWar to social media

Can this game be promoted a little bit on instagram, facebook, tiktok etc. so we could get more new players and get some of old players back.
If this trend continue, game will be dead and there will be no more players.
We couldnt fill game of 6 people in scenario for 3/4 hours.(btw this is not first time it happens)
Please consider this idea.

If you don't mind me asking how expensive do these ads run up on bids? Are we looking at PPC or Direct Traffic.

Sell the game, Dave. You love to blame everyone but yourself, and somehow, you have time to respond to posts like this, which shouldn't be your priority.

in this regard I have a question, perhaps stupid and perhaps it has already been asked and perhaps the result can change a lot from country to country anyway

I have seen several children/teenagers who watch youtubers a lot, these, at least in Italy, make many series or in any case make various videos on games by advertising them and there are many children and often their parents who see them, it might be an idea to ask some of them if they want to try to make a video about this game?

I didnt know he does not care, i dont cry just wanted to ask what is going on, because if he dont do anything as i said yesterday game is going to die if not already. And please khau dont turn out my words in sense that pleases you.

can you give us an update/time horizon for future updates soon? I would love to have an idea about when new tutorial might be implemented. I think we'd all understand if it's not until end of year, but all of us would appreciate having something to look forward to

I don't remember the numbers off the top of my head. We did PPC ads on Facebook, Twitter, Google, and yes Pornhub. Also did some YouTube sponsorships (most notably Kings and Generals) and some paid Instagram posts. Not a single one of those ever achieved a positive ROI.

In my experience everyone we've asked wants money to make a video, and the ones we have paid didn't bring in much return on investment. However if you know someone willing to make a video for free, go ahead and ask them! They don't need my permission, just do it

Edit: I should say that we do have still our affiliate program I will happily pay out $$ earnings for that.

There are not going to be any more updates on atWar until I get done with this other project I'm working on. I don't know how long it will be. Could be another 6 months. Could be 2 years. I don't know. All I know is it won't be forever. I do enjoy working on atWar when I have the time.

It's funny how short people's memories are. They forget how bad things were when I took over in December 2018. How long had the game been totally neglected up to that point? How many things were totally broken and never fixed by the old devs?

People were grateful when I came in and started fixing things. There's still a long way to go, but nobody can deny we made a lot of progress from 2019-2022... I think it's fair to say I've done more than the original devs ever did post-2014.

But as soon as the progress stops for a bit, out comes the hate. Nobody says "is Dave okay? is he still alive?". Instead, people accuse me of "not caring" about something that I obviously care a great deal about.

Kids who don't know and don't care what it means to have responsibilities... to have employees who depend on you keeping a business running, or family that depend on you to take care of them when they're sick... or any of that stuff. I'm a highly empathetic person, but it's impossible for any of us to feel empathetic in the absence of information (i.e., we must have reason to feel empathetic, other than the "benefit of the doubt"). So, I'm glad you shined some light on the situation.

But what about the community? The vast majority of users on this platform will never see the message you just sent. In fact, the vast majority of users don't even know who owns this game. They just want to see the game develop. After all, that is the only reason we engage on this platform: it's because we enjoy the game. So, it's no wonder that we have not been "understanding" about the situation.

As for myself, as I said, I'm glad you shined some light on the situation. Your announcements are great, so making an announcement would be nice, especially if coupled with a milestone deadline for, for example, a revamped tutorial so that we can look forward to a growing user base at some concrete point in the future, as opposed to am ambiguous several years

I've been here since almost the beginning of AtWar, before then it was called Afterwind. I do pop in time and time again just to see the state of game. I can't tell you how many times I've seen so little players online each time I come on. I recently started playing again a few days ago because I got a new computer. The only games I've seen are World Map, Europe, WW1, trench warfare, Ancient, and a few other games.
How will you restore the game to its glory days where hundreds of players are on and like 20 games are on the main screen that are actually getting filled? The Pandemic doesn't count because nobody could do anything.

In the message you said above this one, you said you are working on another project and that AW is just when you have time. Is that the route you will go with? Do you want to neglect the game even more than it is? Why not just cut the cord and put the game out of its misery then. This game can only go for so long without proper dedication to it. I would love to see it thrive again and have all my friends that I made on here back. It just isn't the same how it was, even before you took over. But now it seems worse.

Yes... atWar has always been side a project... that's nothing new, I'm just busier now than usual. As fun as it would be to work on atWar full-time, I have bills to pay and I like not being homeless, so yes I have to do actual work (read: not atWar) to make money.

Rectify what you have done, Dave. Restore the accounts of those you have deleted and banned. This is one way you will see positive change.

Perhaps if the engagement between community and Staff was conducted in a proper way rather than insulting and bad behaviour situation would be different.
I still believe if all the players wants to join back just arrange a meeting in discord server with each side having the representative to come at some common grounds. (it's just my opinion)

I think veterans plays very pivotal role in developing and growing the community but again if there are some boundaries set by Staff or owner it should be respected.
